The circa 1890 home, originally built as an Inn, has been divided into 3 separate sections. The home has the true summer cottage feeling of Maine, with wood paneled walls, many antiques furnishings and much more!
Each quaint unit has its own entrance; living room/dining room area; fully equipped kitchen, including a microwave and coffee maker; telephone; color TV with VCR; and a private bathroom. Bed linens and bath towels are provided, we ask that you bring your own beach towels and beach chairs. In addition to the lovely front porch, there is a side deck by the entrance to the 2 bedroom unit. Gas grills are available on a first come basis. We have a large yard in a very private setting
- The 4 bedroom unit has 1 king, 2 queen, and 1 twin room. It also has a fireplace. (8 ppl max.)
- The 3 bedroom unit has 1 queen, 1 double, and 1 twin room. It has a wood stove. (6 ppl max.)
- The 2 bedroom unit has 1 queen and 1 twin room. It is not pictured, it is a 1 story wing off the back of the house. (4 ppl max.)
Limited water views are available. A beautiful sandy beach, pictured above, is an easy 1/8 mile walk away. The beach has wonderful rocks for climbing; tide pools for hunting hermit crabs, snails, and sand dollars; and at low tide you are able to walk to a small island to search for other treasures of the sea!
Bailey Island, and neighboring Orr's and Great Island, all offer a nice variety of craft and antique shops, art galleries, a few lovely restaurants, and kayak rentals. Bailey Island is just 20 minutes from Brunswick, 30 minutes to Bath, 45 minutes north of Portland, and just 1 hour south of Boothbay Harbor, in case you are interested in exploring the lovely Maine coast!
Rentals are Saturday to Saturday during the months of May - October.
